Accredited Coaching and Mentoring programme
Accredited by the Institute of Leadership, Coaching & Mentoring Practitioner Certificate, Level 5
Delivered by HumanTechnics
This is a 4-day practical Coaching & Mentoring workshop developing the key skills for coaching and mentoring. This programme is offered to staff who are currently coaching and/or mentoring as part of their current role or would like/expect to be in the future, either formally or informally.
What does the workshop cover?
The workshop is very practical with lots of practical exercises designed for developing your skills and understanding of coaching and mentoring and how to use coaching/mentoring to support the development of others. It’s both fun and rewarding.
What certificate do I get?
The programme is accredited by the Institute of Leadership leading to their Coaching & Mentoring Practitioner Level 5 Certificate. This is the type of accreditation that is typically required by the Leadership Academy and other NHS organisations if in the future you want to sign up as a coach or mentor with them.
Is there coursework and if so, what’s involved?
Yes – it involves writing 3 reflective learning logs, and a 3,000-word essay covering how Coaching/Mentoring is used in organisations and reviewing your own skills and future development as a coach or mentor. You also need to log coaching/mentoring experience of 20hrs in a simple spreadsheet. This coursework is submitted about 4 months from the training days. Level 5 assessments are straight forward, and we would recommend about 30hrs of commitment over the 4-months for researching and writing coursework.
When is it happening?
Part 1 – 2 consecutive days 3rd & 4th February 2026
Part 2 – 2 consecutive days 3rd & 4th March 2026
Coursework Deadline – Ealy July
The training will be delivered ‘virtually’ but the style of the workshop time is very hands-on and practical so it’s important that you have space where you will be uninterrupted for those days. The training days are whole days from 9.30am to 5pm (with breaks!).
How do I apply?
